Fitting Guide

Did you know 80% of women are wearing the wrong size undergarment? This is because our bodies are constantly experiencing transitions from puberty, pregnancy, lactation periods, menopause, weight loss and weight gain patterns and in some instances illness, all of which impact how our bra size will change for the duration of our lifetime. So let’s get to the bottom of understanding your current fit to make sure you are getting the support your body needs!
UNDERGARMENT SIZING
1) Put on your best fitting bra and be sure that it is unpadded, not a minimizer (ex. bandeau).
If necessary, tighten the straps until the peaks of your breast are half way between your shoulder and elbow.

2) Grab a partner it’s much easier and more accurate if you have someone else assist in your measurement.

3) Get a tape measure, if you don’t have one available download our printable version HERE
FIND YOUR PERFECT FIT: BRA

Step 1: MEASURE YOUR CHEST
Hold the tape measure just below your shoulder blades and just above the top of your bust in the front. Expel all the air from your lungs to make sure you get the smallest measurement possible pulling the tape measure comfortably tight. Round to the closest whole number if the measurement falls between inches.

Step 2 - MEASURE YOUR BUST
Stand straight with your arms at your side relax your body, breathing normally. Wrap the tape measure around your body at the fullest peak of your bust. The tape measure should be parallel to the floor and just touch and not bind.

Step 3: MEASURE YOUR BAND SIZE (UNDERNEATH THE BUST)
Measure directly under the bust with the tape resting firmly on your sternum. This measurement should be as snug as possible as your band is the main support of the bra. Round to the closest whole number if your measurement falls in between inches.

FIND YOUR PERFECT FIT: BOTTOMS

Step 1: MEASURE YOUR WAIST
Find your natural waist by bending to the sides, where your body indents is your natural waist. Wrap measuring tape around your waist, snug, but not tight – this is your waist measurement.

Step 2 - MEASURE YOUR HIPS
Find the fullest part of your hips, it is usually about 8” below your natural waist, but may fluctuate from 6” to 9” depending on your height. Wrap measuring tape around your hip, snug, but not tight – this is your hip measurement.

LET’S DO THE MATH

CUP SIZE

Take your bust measurement and subtract your chest measurement.

Example:

Chest size - 29

Bust size - 31

31 – 29 = 2 inches

2 inches = B

Every inch of the difference between your Bust and Chest measurement is a cup size refer to the chart below for your cup size based on inch difference.

BAND SIZE:

See Step 3 (Diaphragm Size)
Even number - add 4
Odd number - add 5

Example: Diaphragm measurement = 27 (odd) + 5 = Band measurement: 32

Diaphragm measurement = 28 (even) + 4 = Band measurement: 32
