The production of traditional lingerie involves the use of synthetic fabrics and chemicals that are harmful to the environment. They are also designed to be temporary especially nursing bras.

But what can you do about it?

Here's a short list of what to look for to make sure your underwear is both comfortable and eco-friendly.

1. What materials is it made from?

Look for natural and organic materials grown without harmful chemicals.

2. Who made it?

Choose underwear from brands that prioritize sustainability, eco-friendly materials, and ethical production.

3. How long will it last?

Invest in high-quality, durable materials to reduce frequent replacements and save resources.

4. Is it fast fashion?

Avoid trendy and cheap underwear that promotes overconsumption and waste.

5. How do I care for it?

Look for care instructions that recommend washing in cold water and air-drying to save energy and prevent damage to fibers.

6. What do I do with it when it's no longer usable?

Find textile recycling programs or facilities to recycle old underwear instead of throwing them away.

7. What's the packaging like?
