Tariffs & Supporting Canadian-Made

Tariffs & Supporting Canadian-Made

What's interesting is most of these brands are what have replaced what we know as fashion - fast fashion has become the norm and it's exploiting women in the global south and destroying our planet.

We have not seen a shift like this in the dedication to support Made In Canada - and learning more about where our products are from and where they are made.

If this means buying less but better quality it benefits everyone.

Did you know In the 8O's and 90's Canada was known for its lingerie production - producing bras for Victoria's Secret and vogue bras right in Toronto before it was sold to off shore production?

In our pieces we source elastics, tags, fabrics, trims, many of which are no longer made in North America.

The movement of manufacturing off shore has made a lot of things like elastics and laces extremely competitive in terms of cost to produce locally, as a result majority of these suppliers have set up shops overseas.

Because of this huge shift of corporations hoping to save on labour costs, off shore manufacturing is light years ahead in technology and information and have developed the infrastructure to create new things.

For us our lace is the most important part of our production since we mill it from scratch it is an essential part of our how our pieces support you.

Some of our bras take approximately 20 components to bring our pieces to life. All are sourced from multiple locations mainly Canada, the U.S., China Columbia and France.

We are always sourcing from the areas we know are the best in their craft. We live in a globalize world and it takes working together to bring excellence to life - we've initially had to revalue how we source and work with our US partners including the ones who produce in China.

We bring all these pieces together and import them into Canada. While we design, develop, fit and new products simultaneously in house at our studio.Everything is made IN HOUSE!

We mill almost everything from scratch all except some elastics and trims and liner fabrics - and we pay a premium for small batch, higher quality, lower impact dyes and remove unnecessary chemicals.

It takes 30+ steps and 8-10+ machines to make one of our pieces!

Seeing is believing and for a closer look at our production, book a virtual or in-person fitting call with our team.

See you soon!
