Are these medical-grade masks?
No, the cloth face coverings recommended are not surgical masks or N-95 respirators. Those are critical supplies that must continue to be reserved for healthcare workers and other medical first responders, as recommended by current CDC guidance.

Are cloth face masks effective?
The CDC and the Canada’s Chief Public Health Officer Theresa Tam issued new guidance on the wearing of a non-medical masks in public. Citing new evidence on presymptomatic and asymptomatic transmission of the new coronavirus in public settings when physical distancing can be hard to maintain.
Such a mask is a tool that can complement your daily practice of social distancing and proper hygiene – it is not designed to replace these imperative measures that have proven to be effective in mitigating the spread of COVID-19.

What can I use as a filter?
The filter can be cut from a HEPA air filter sheet (non-fiberglass) or a coffee filter as recommended by the CDC.

How often should I wash the mask?
Think of your mask like underwear. It should be washed immediately once you receive it and after every use.
Hand or machine wash on delicate in hot water with detergent. DO NOT bleach. Lay flat to dry. Do not put in dryer Iron on low. Do not dry clean.

How do I remove my mask safetly?
Take off your mask by removing the elastics from around your ears first. You should be careful not to touch your eyes, nose, and mouth when removing your face mask and wash hands immediately after removing.

Can my baby or toddler wear the mask?
No - CDC advises cloth face coverings should not be placed on young children under age 2.

Why are the masks on pre-order?
Because of COVID-19 we have implemented social distancing measures in our facility for the health and safety of our team members. Our staff is able to return to work as we are considered essential workers with our community efforts. We are currently working with a limited number of staff on alternating shifts including some staff members working remotely.

Can I return the masks?
No. For the health and safety of everyone this item is non-refundable and will be final sale.

Do you offer family bundles?
You can create your family bundle by purchasing a combination of adult and children packs as necessary.

When donating a mask can I also donate to a midwife?
Absolutely! Midwives are currently in need of masks as well during this time for their home visits. Please leave a note in the notes section of your checkout and we will be sure donate it to our partner practices.
